Hereford United was founded on 16th June 1924. Sadly, following a series of well publicised events, the club was liquidated in their 90th anniversary year.  Hereford FC was set up to replace them but The FA rules meant that we were not allowed to return to the Hereford United name for five years. This centenary year has seen renewed calls for a return to the historic name, with the ‘Bring Back United’ chant ringing out of terraces across the country.

The Bring Back United group are a collection of Hereford supporters working together on a campaign for Hereford FC to return to the Hereford United name. Later this season we will trigger a vote of the Hereford United Supporters Trust on a return to our Hereford United name.

This website allows you a convenient place to keep up to date with our progress as well as find all our key documents.

Pledge to Bring Back United

We've had lots of Hereford supporters get in touch with us asking how they can help donate towards the costs to Bring Back United. Whilst we are aware not every supporter may be in a position to contribute we want to make it possible for everyone who would like to contribute to the costs to Bring Back United to do so.

We have had a generous offer to match supporter donations towards the name change which you can read about here.

You can make a pledge here

If you are unable to make a pledge, please still complete the form so we can update you on progress with the campaign.

We are not currently collecting donations. If you make a pledge, we will contact you following a successful vote to Bring Back United with details of how to make your donation.
